Bowel cancer

Hi I just wanted to know if you have all the symptoms of bowel cancer does it mean it's a lot further on? My story is, I went to the doctors last week because of problems I'm having for over 6 months now. The doctor said my symptoms sounded like it could be bowel cancer & I'm being fast tracked for camera up and down. 
the thing is I did what I shouldn't  & went online to look it up & it said a high percentage of people don't have any symptoms & it's found from testing.. so I'm now worrying because I have most of the symptoms does that mean if it is cancer is it  quite far on because of this  ?

    I'm sorry to hear that you've had some ongoing health problems recently and that you're now waiting for some investigations. It's natural to feel anxious about what may be causing your symptoms. 

    We know that many people go to the internet looking for information when they are unwell or waiting for tests. Unfortunately, much of the information available online is inaccurate or aimed towards the more spectacular stories. This won't give you answers for your personal circumstances but will certainly leave you feeling more anxious and worried about things. 

    Hopefully, you won't have to wait too long for your appointments and the team will be able to give you some reassurance but in the meantime, I wonder if you might find it helpful to have a chat with one of our team of nurses. They're available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040 (excluding Christmas Eve and bank holidays). I'm sure they will be able to offer some advice and support to help.

    Hi

    I was fast tracked onto a consultant this week, I've had no symptoms at all of bowel cancer other than low iron; my screening was negative but I'm being sent for a colonoscopy which honestly I'm dreading! I have to say I'm guilty of googling and it's made me feel 1000 times worse so I took everyone's advice from this forum and stopped searching. There is every possibility that your symptoms are leading to nothing or something other than cancer
