Help

Hi I'm 24 years old and for the past few months I've had pebble poo constipation and red stuff in my stool I don't know if it's blood and I'm terrified. Covid has stopped any chance of seeing a gp I don't get much pain only now and again I bloat now and again but not all the time my I'm stressing myself out thinking I have bowel cancer can anyone give me any advice thanks in advance

  • Hi Anthony, Do try to get an appointment with a GP. I know it can be scary, it could also be something called Chrons Disease which is a chronic bowel condition. Even if it's a telephone appointment do reach out and get it seen to, good luck. Trish

    Hi Anthony,

A very warm welcome to our forum.  You can still be seen by your GP, although getting an appointment can be more difficult than previously. If you phone your surgery and speak to the receptionist, they will ask you about your symptoms, They will also ask you a few other questions. If you mention your fear that you may have cacer, they wll give you a telephone consultation with your GP, who can decide whether or not you need an appointment.

Thee is no point in worrying about this. Bite the bullet and find out and put your mind to rest. There are several less serious conditions that this could be. Please keep in touch and let us know how yu get on. We are always here for you.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx
