Lump in groin

I have been a bit under the weather this year. I have had physical manifestations of stress due to work. This includes pain in testicle + lump in groin (I had an ultrasound for this which was clear), acid reflux, random itching all over, a rash on my face and sores on my head, a reaction to alcohol. All of this has been put down to stress. However the lump in my groin is still there (about the size of a pea), it was said to be a lipoma but I am not sure. I get sciatic pain from my lumbar (had that for years) which goes through that area. Can't be sure if the area is throbing due to the lump or just the sciatica.

Given that I have been a lot to the doctors I am now reluctant to go about this. However it is bugging me. I feel like I could be over medicalising everything which is just causing subconscious stress.

  • Hi. If your scan was pronounced clear then I really don't think you have anything to worry about. When we are under a lot of stress our brains magnify everything and leap to conclusions of danger. It sounds as if, like me, you have become overly aware of and concerned about your body's reaction to stress which can become a vicious cycle x
