Two lumps found on cervix

Hello everyone,

I was reaching out to see if anyone has been through something similar to me, I had a smere last year and tested positive for HPV so was invited for another smere which I'm actually doing tomorrow.

however I had a few issues down there and didn't feel quite right so went to my docs and saw the gyno and he did some swabs and went on to tell me he found two lumps either side of my cervix.

he said he is sending me for a urgent referral to see a specialist to check if it's cervical cancer.

I am absolutely terrified has anyone been through this and was it cancer?

    I'm sorry to hear about the cervical health concerns that you're dealing with at the moment. It's understandable that you're feeling anxious. I think most of our members here will know how difficult this period of waiting for appointments, tests, and results can be. It's good to hear that you've already seen the GP and that they've referred you to the specialist. Hopefully, you won' have to wait too long for the appointment. 

    In the meantime, I wonder if you might find it helpful to chat things through with one of our team of nurses. I'm sure they will be happy to offer any advice, information, and support that they can.
