Hello I'm 37 and I was having a CT scan to look for a clot on my lung whilst in ambulatory care but the doctor said in the report they radiologist noted there was a 3cm shadow in my right breast that needed to be investigated. They have now referred to a breast consultant to be seen urgently.
I am confused as I was due to go to my GP regarding swelling under my left armpit and enlarged lymphnodes but this is the opposite side to where shadow was found and also I am unable to feel any lump in the breast with the 3cm shadow.
Should I be concerned regarding their findings and how good are CTs at picking up anything suspicious.
Thank you
