Something picked up on CT

Hi everyone, I have had a mare of a few days. I've come to A&E for shortness of breath and a possible blood clot in lung so was sent for  CT scan. My lungs were clear but the doctor said they picked up on something in my right breast that needs investigating so are referring me to the 2 week pathway to be seen.

I was due to go to my GP regarding a swelling and inlarged lymphnodes under my left armpit so I was surprised to hear it was my right breast.

I am so worried, as I haven't felt anything unusual. Has anyone experienced this before?

Thank you in advance.

  • Bless you, you've had a time of it.

On 25 Oct. Hubby found a lump in my left breast. 3 weeks later i had a mammogram and ultrasound, followed by a core needle biopsy of not 1 lump but 4! 3 in my breast and 1 in my armpit. Never noticed the one before hubby found it and only felt the others after the ultrasound and still can't feel the one in my armpit.

Results came back after a week and i met with my consultant a week after the results came in. That was yesterday. Turns out 3 of my lumps are cancerous so my next thing is an MRI before surgery is booked.

    Fingers crossed for you. Xx

  • Oh bless you, I am sending all my love and strength to you xxxx

I am so confused as the swelling and enlarged lympyhnodes are under my left armpit but it's my right breast they found something in to be investigated. When I asked the doctor she said all it said in the radiologist notes was a 3cm shadow on right breast and will need investigating. Could this be nothing? But why something as big as 3cm be picked up on CT if nothing?
