I did have something similar in that a couple of lumps were found after I found 1. 

I had a mammogram, ultrasound and had to go back and have a core needle biopsy of 4 lumps. At no point during the ultrasound was I given any indication of the possible outcome. 

The results came back in a week and I got a phone call to book an appt with the consultant to discuss my results the following week. 

That was yesterday. Unfortunately 3 of the lumps are cancerous including the one in my armpit and I'm now awaiting a date for an MRI to look at the tumours in a bit more detail before surgery in the new year. 

I had prepared myself (despite no-one giving me any indication) that it would be cancer so it wasn't too much of a shock. However I think because I had spent the whole week in limbo but kinda knowing at the same time that when I was told at least I knew for definite so I could start putting things in place for pastoral support for the kids and notifying my employers. 

Fingers crossed but we are here if it's not good news
