Lump on one tonsil, tonsil cancer?

Hi, I was just after some advice as I'm suffering with severe anxiety over a lump I found on my tonsil 5 months ago. Doctors don't seem bothered by it and gave me antibiotics in case it was tonsillitis but the lump never went. And neither have my symptoms. I am now awaiting an appointment with ent but I feel sick to my stomach thinking I have tonsil cancer. 
I have had frequent sore throats which I have most days to be fair, ear pain and redness, , neck pain , a constant clicking in throat when swallowing, difficulty swallowing sometimes, a cough that has been there for 2 years now, respiratory team have found no issues with my lungs which lead up to believe it's a throat issue, . I have numerous swollen lumps on my neck , which I have had ultrasounds for that have all came back as just swollen lymph nodes, but they seem to multiply and not go away. And even though the ultrasound doesn't show cancer can you still have cancer if the throat and it not show up on the ultrasound, clearly there is a reason for the reoccurring swollen lymph nodes so there must be an infection somewhere. The sonograoher even said so herself. Anyway my point is has anyone else gone through this and have any advice, because Google has diagnosed me with cancer (yes I know Google is the worst thing to do, but it seems all the throat cancer symptoms, I have) I'm a single mum to a 4 year old and I'm worried sick incase I have throat cancer :(

    Yes I forgot about the Ultrasound scan I had that after. Camera up my nose they found 8 swollen lymph nodes I'm not sure about the CT scan if it will Show up cause I had also MRI scan PET scan and biopsy after all Them it was confirmed 

    I don't want to scare you again but I had swollen lymph node then a sore throat that didn't go my voice changed and thr feeling of something stuck in my throat 

    I had my good tonsil out last Wednesday also took a biopsy of cancer tonsil back of theist and tongue when I was asleep

    my treatment plan which I found out Thursday is chemo and radiotherapy for 6weeks

    Did the cancer show on the ultrasound?

    the camera up your nose was that done while you was awake?? As he done a quick one on my first app where he numbed my nose and throat and put it through my nose bit obviously could only see so much ? Is that where they saw yours? 

    yeah apart from the voice change I have the same symptoms and also the the actual visible  lump on my actual tonsil that is like a growth the same colour as tonsil. 
    oh I didn't realise you was only recently diagnosed. I'm so sorry it must be so scary for you. 
    All in all from your first app with ent, how long did it take for them to diagnose you? I just don't want to be waiting ages and end up worrying more than I already am.

    They didn't see anything as far as I'm aware until the PET scan I'm sure they probably had an idea as they see it everyday but they ain't allowed do say I had the camera up my nose 3 times over the period but I was told at my follow up appointment that it was confirmed through PET scan

    I was actually diagnosed 22nd November my first appointment with the ENT (camera up the nose )was 12th October so very quick
