Merkel Cell Carcinoma Advice

Hi Everyone,

I'm looking for advice regarding Merkel Call Carcinoma I have looked though the forum but it's been over 12 months since anyone was discussing it which is fantastic. But I'm looking for advice.

My best friend has been diagnosed with MCC on Monday! Im looking for ways to help, advice etc.

    I'm sorry to hear about your friends' recent diagnosis of MCC. It's always difficult when a loved one receives a diagnosis and I'm sure that he is grateful for all the support that you've given him. 

    I can see that you've chatted with Rhi.Rhi on another thread and it sounds as if you're already putting some things in place to help support your friend. Another member, Boycott100,‍ has recently posted to update after a year of treatment. 

    We do have some information on our website about coping with cancer that you may find helpful to have a read-through at some point. 

    If you want to chat things through with our team of nurses at any point you're welcome to call them on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm. I'm sure they will be happy to offer any advice and information that they can.

    How is your friend doing? My dad was diagnosed with MCC satge 4 in september 2021. He had the turmor removed from his neck and 30 rounds of radiotherapy. WE hve just been told that his MCC has now spread so he is starting Radiotherapy again today,.
