i just wanted to say that if it is something to concerned about the drs will get back to you really quickly. I had an ultrasound and a biopsy and got my results back in 12 days which is apparently a really speedy turnaround. My results weren't that good... but my consultant on the NHS had been amazing. Xx

Thank you Ebby088, sorry about your results. Glad to hear they're looking after you well. Is a biopsy an awful experience. I just don't know what to expect x 

I didn't think it was too bad tbh. They give you local anaesthetic and then the worst bit is the click of the needle. It was waaaaay better than the cervical biopsy i had once before. Xx

Sorry to hear of your worries, the news you got that it's small and treatable is a great sign to cling to while you wait.

Honestly a biopsy isn't sore at all, worst bit like Ebby said is the click. It's loud! You may have some bruising and a dull ache once the anesthetic wears off too but it doesn't last long

Hi, I'm 38 and was diagnosed 6 weeks ago. The breast clinic was fine, I saw a consultant first who then sent me for a ultrasound, she told me then she thought it was breast cancer . I was sent for a Mammogram and had a Biopsy and a marker inserted, this is so they can find the area again easily. My Lymph nodes were clear and this was confirmed after my Lumpectomy where they took a biopsy. 
 

When I went back for my results 2 weeks later  they had a plan already mapped out for me and told me the type of cancer I had , what stage I was and grade ( although my grade changed to 3 after Surgery). 

after that appointment I had surgery to remove my lump I had an lumpectomy due to the size of my T they did a biopsy on my Nodes at the same time. 

I seem to wait 2 weeks between appointments, I go back tomorrow as my Margin wasn't clear then an appointment on the 8th Dec.
