Hi all,

im a 25 year old woman and my mum is 56 years old. She was very healthy and mobile then 4 months ago she had a fall and that detected lung cancer and her whole life has turned around being bed bound and unable to sleep or eat.

after further diagnosis it's stage 4 lung cancer with bone metasis and it's T4, N3, M1c. She has gone through a few round of chemo which have shrunk the tumour in the lung but a few new ones are showing up in her bones. I have spoken with her oncologist and Macmillan nurses trying to get a prognosis and no one will give me one, they keep saying to me that the treatment is working slightly but with how far advanced it is I would like to know a rough estimation to see if we can get her well enough to take her on holiday and do some things she wants to do. I'm not trying to be negative about the situation but being so left in the dark and how ill she is, I know it is incurable but for my family i want to find out if she will be here by Christmas or not as she is declining massively but it seems like no one will give me an answer, 

if anyone has any advice on how I can get a prognosis or they have been in a similar situation that would be a massive help. I know prognosis doesn't work to an exact date and sometimes people exceed them, which im really hoping truly is the case.
