Recovery from sentinel node biopsy

Really helpful to read the posts about recovery from a lumpectomy. Mine is scheduled for Thursday. There isn't too much mention about recovery from the removal of lymph nodes (my surgeon says it will be two for testing). Any dos or don'ts?? Thanks in advance to this little community.

Hi. I had a tiny incision under my arm. It had steri-strips on it and to be honest I kind of forgot all about it! No pain or problems etc xx

Hi I had a Lumpectomy and Node Biopsy 3weeks ago, the Lumpectomy was a piece of cake. The Node biopsy was the Sore bit, Take a small pillow for the Journey home to tuck under your arm ( my Hospital gave me one) i also used this at home and to sleep for couple of nights. It will feel sore but it is very manageable, the one tip is to turn your top inside out so that the seem doesn't rub your under arm as it's so sensitive. Make sure you do your exercises they do help.
Just make sure your Sports bra or what ever you are wearing doesn't rub your incision under your arm I bought one that did and soon realised ouch
