My mum has liver cancer, struggling to cope with news

My mum got diagnosed with liver cancer 2 weeks ago and I don't feel like I'm coping I can't loose her is there treatment she can have as she can't have surgery or chemo. Can people survive this sort of cancer?

  • Hi Sophie, i saw your post and i thought i would reply as i am in the same situation :-(

I'm in my early thirties and already have lost my mum to stomach cancer and also my brother through a stroke, my dad developed jaundice and his liver levels rocketed, he was immediately sent to hospital and we are going through the same thing as he has severe obstructive jaundice.

They cannot fit a stent through endoscopy or take a biopsy as the tumour is too high on the liver pressing against a bile duct, we are all just stuck waiting for answers and also cannot see my dad at all in hospital due to covid policies.

I want to let you know you're not alone, i haven't stopped crying with the unknown if you would like to chat im here x
