I have had surgery to remove brain tumour and cyber knife radiotherapy on the brain (scan and update with Neurosurgeon in December). I have now finally got to talk to urology doctor and I am now on list for left kidney removal, (no other treatment offered) anyone else had  similar

  • Hi CarlT and welcome to the Cancer Chat community.

It's great to hear the brain tumour has been removed and fingers crossed it won't be long before you can speak with the urologist and your kidney removal can get under way.

Hopefully some of our members who have been on a similar journey will be in touch soon but if you have any questions playing on your mind or would just like to talk things through with someone then do give our cancer nurses team a call. They're available on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m.

Wishing you all the best with the next part of your treatment and your review with the neurosurgeon in December.

    Kind regards,

    Steph, Cancer Chat Moderator

  • Hi

Just diagnosed today with metastatic kidney cancer but CT scan shows mine has spread to the lungs.  Too late for kidney removal to help.  Waiting for Oncology referral in 4-6 weeks and we'll start tablets to stop further growth and monitor it.
    Good luck xx
