Liver lesion

Hi All,

I 38 years old and just found out I have adrenal gland nodule and a liver lesion the size of a 1p coin. I am scared  to death of the outcome. Does anyone else have the same or previously had the same? I don't want to worry amd talk to family members but I literally can't sleep or stop thinking about this.

thanks

  • Hi Liversupport.

sorry to find you on here asking for advice -it's a good place to get chatting to others going though similar.

I hate reading chat and find notes asking for advice and no replies -I wrote and was desperate for someone to comment to out my mind at ease.

ive been chatting to a few people for advice and words of wisdom without having the worry of telling all to family and friends. However I feel having friend and family support is often good to have-I'd want to know if it was my sister or brother going though same thing.

Have you had scans ? Tests ? Biopsy ? Results ? etc etc

Write down any questions that you are worried about or need answering. Take them to your appoitment. Take someone with you for results too, as often information is missed.

keep me posted with your progress

    much love

  • Hi Effie,

    Tank you for your reply.

I have had a CT scan which just showed some nodule on my adrenal gland that they was not concerned about but sent me for MRI as I had a previous neuroendocrine tumour 20 years ago just to make sure and from that scan found a lesion on my liver. I am waiting for a call from the consultant tonight to see if they can book me in for another scan to check the blood vessels. From reading up and google I think they are checking to see if anything has spread. Which to me I feel like they already know it is bad news but don't want to say. I already suffer with health anxiety and may be worse than I should as I keep it all to myself and don't talk to anyone as 9/10 I'm always wrong. I hope this time I am wrong too. I feel physically sick and like it is an out of body experience.

please may I ask are you ok? How is it you are in the chat, did you have a post?

    Xxx

  • Hi, Liversupport,

    Im good thanks.

Im here online most nights as struggle switching off.

I'm originally here asking advice on breast cancer -long story found lump, got checked, had lump and some lymph out given some good news. Cancer sent to USA- high score means likely to return so having4 cycles of chemotherapy ( start 11th Nov) then radiotherapy then 10years of meds. Plus monthly injections.
anyways after posting a topics and asking advice I was clinging on here waiting for an answer. Im feeling kinda useful as offering some of my knowledge to others too.  Especially when some topics don't even get a response i feel the need to at least chat.

Got some *** family history of Ca too. Mam had breast cancer aged 50, then was Cancer free for 16years then was told lung cancer following chest infection- died 7weeks later aged66. Wasn't offered any treatment as she had Brain mets and was frail.
Dad diagnosed with high grade prostate cancer aged 59-only given 3monthky injections and no other treatment and he died aged 67 in May.

Sat with uncle as he died in August (3days after my diagnosis) he had cancer all over -not sure if primary source)
Had to go do probate for dads house and handed over keys on Monday.

    eeee Sorry too much info.
ive defiantly had a rough 2021

im pooping my pants about my chemo journey. Gunna be a rough Christmas this year without Mam and Firstwithout Dad and Uncle.

my third dose of chemo will be Christmas Eve Eve if all goes to plan.

but I gotta put my big girl pants on and get on with it.

    keep smiling
