Bladder Cancer

Hello im new to all this, last year I started passing blood which was originally diagnosed incorrectly as a Kidney stone, no scans etc due to covid, earlier this year the day before I turned 37 I found a lot of blood so pushed myself to have a scan. It took until September to have scans and cystoptomy, sadly the found lesions in my bladder which I now know are Cancerous, I had these removed on Tuesday, the issue for me all this scans op etc have happened in the last 3 weeks and I really dont know how to feel plus I wanted to try and find out what happens to me next as im waiting for my post op?.

  • Hi Gregory.

sorry to find you on here asking for words of wisdom-I can't offer any bladder advice but can offer some general tips.- check me out I sound like a right know it all.

I'm glad you've pushed to be checked out tho.

All these tests and appoitments happen so fast you don't have time to get your head around anything. ( tests for cancer or query cancer somhoukd get listed as two week referral rule) I found breast lump in 3rd Aug. Told cancer 10th Aug. Had lump and some lymph out. Lump sent to USA and now awaiting chemo in under 2months -amazing really. Im in denial and feel like a fraud as feel so well. Chemo is freaking me out a bit but if it makes me live longer then hey I'll give anything a go.

write down any questions you may have -you will have a follow up review and might forget anything you want to ask.
Take someone with you to appoitments too -two sets of ears are better than one to take in information As often information overload.

Keep us posted with your progress-

    Efffie x
