This morning my mum has had an Endoscopy resulting in a report that mentions a 24cm stricture which is likely malignant. My understanding is that a stricture isn't necessarily like a tumour but a narrowing of the oesophagus... 24cm sounds huge?
We are now in limbo to await biopsy results and a scan but they've suggested it doesn't look good.
Please, someone share your experience. I cannot get my head around this news. Its the not understanding that's making it hard to process.
