Hi hope everyone OK, I've just joined 

I had a routine CT scan done and it showed that I have a lump in my left brease .this has been a big shock for me as they wasn't CT my breast,my stomach Dr has refferd me to urgent breast clinic.

I feel as I'm in shock not real sick in the stomach .does everyone feel this way.Got my appointment on 22nd October. Not felt lump are anything I just can't get my head round this.

    I'm sorry about the lump that was found in your breast. I know this must be a shock to the system, especially as you didn't know it was there, but the good news is it's been found and it won't be long until you're seen at the breast clinic.

    Many members of the Cancer Chat community have been in this position so will definitely understand how you're feeling at the moment and now that I've replied you'll hopefully receive some support and advice from them soon.

    If you haven't been to a breast clinic before you can find out what may happen at your appointment just here. I hope this proves to be useful and all goes well on the 22nd.

    Hi Nancy.

    I found lump in my massive boob ( H cup) which is surprising. Lump felt hard and gum all size. I went to GP and referred to breast clinic. Mamogram, ultrasound , ultrasound guided biopsy or lump and lymph. Titanium tracer and Repeat mamogram all done in one appointment. Then saw doctor and told straight away it was cancer. Star shaped typical of cancer.  

    Its good in a way it's been picked up early before you've found it- which again is good news. 

    I imagine they will do mamogram, and ultrasound and need biopsy too. And only then will you know what's going on. It may be nothing to worry over. And not all lumps end up with a cancer diagnosis.


    Write down any questions you may have- as you can forget them.  
    Take someone with you too as they can listen out for info that may be missed.

    When's your appoitment? Should eb within two weeks. I phoned my breast clinic each day and asked if I could take cancellation slots if any ans got seem on day 3 post referral
