hey i also have the same, I'm a bit further on in treatment though and have nearly finished my chemo i have 4 weeks left wooohooo! X

I hope its going well for you, I think the unknown is the scary part. X

It is totally. I feel a lot better now then before I started the chemo I haven't found it too bad. I know it's not over yet but it's like the first big step is nearly over x

A few months ago I had exactly the same diagnosis as you, with the possibility that the cancer had reached my Lymph Nodes.  This is the second time that I have had Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, and my first assumption was that on this second occasion it could not be treated.  When I somewhat jumped the gun and asked the Oncologist how long I have got left she was a bit shocked.  She assured me that there was treatment available to me with a very good chance of a full cure.

The first time I had it I refused the chemo and the radiotherapy afterwards, which in hindsight was perhaps a bit naive.  I simply thought that if the cancer was cut out of my breast I would be home and dry, and although my Doctors at the time strongly advised that I have a follow up of chemo and radiotherapy, like I said, I though that I knew best.  On this second occasion I have been given the chemo first (which I assure you is nowhere near as frightening as I thought it would be), and I have now had 4 chemo sessions with 4 more to go, and then I will be having an operation to remove the (rapidly shrinking) tumour in my breast and also the one in my arm pit.

Gellybean, I know exactly how you are feeling, especially with a diagnosis of Grade 3 cancer, but please believe me, IT IS TREATABLE!  The support of the Doctors and Nurses who are taking care of me, plus the other patients that I have spoken with has been brilliant.  I promise you Gellybean, you will get through this, good luck, xx
