Having the RIG fitted

Hi 

My name is Debbie and I'm 2 weeks into radiotherapy after being diagnosed with tonsil cancer and tomorrow I get the RIG  fitted ( I think that's what it's called) anyway tonight I have to drink something called baritop 100 the thing is it's in a can and is very heavy. If anyone can advise how they coped with drinking this I would be most grateful, btw you have to drink it within an hour

    I hope you were able to speak to your doctor about these concerns at your appointment yesterday, they would be the best to offer advice. There is some information here on radiotherapy, which I hope could be useful. Our cancer nurses are also available on the freephone 0808 800 4040, if you need to speak to someone. Lines are open from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
