Hi,

I was wondering if anyone that has had diep reconstruction could tell me what it was like for them?

I think it's what I'm going to choose and I'd just like to hear about peoples experiences, good or bad.

Hello Laurenren,
I thought I would share with you the breast reconstruction section on our website. You will find there detailed information on the types of breast reconstruction available including the DIEP option.
Many ladies on the forum have had the DIEP and I hope they will be along shortly to share their experiences with you. I had a little look for other members who recently posted about their DIEP reconstruction and found for example [@Hunnybun61]‍ who posted this thread and mentioned she had recently had the DIEP so it could be a good person for you to chat to.
You might also be interested in this thread where [@Ellen85]‍ and [@katrina78]‍ discuss their post DIEP surgery experiences.
I hope this helps a little and that you will soon be chatting to others here who've had this type of reconstruction before.
