Hi all. Is anyone aware of the waiting time from diagnosis to the start of treatment ( chemotherapy) .. I have a family member who maybe waiting 5/6 weeks. Is this normal?
I'm sorry to hear that you have a family member waiting to start chemotherapy at the moment. It's not uncommon for some people to wait a few weeks before starting treatment and this can be for any number of different reasons.
It's understandable that you and your family member may be feeling anxious about this delay. Do speak to the team providing their care about your concerns as they will be best placed to answer any questions you have and offer some reassurance.
