Recent lung cancer diagnosis...

Hi everyone,

Struggling a bit with a recent diagnosis.  Flitting between 'Hey Ho, get on with it' to, 'Everything is ***'.  I'm currently in limbo, between scans/treatment and hitting the bottle quite hard.  Is this normal? Happy to hear of ways to refocus....

  • Hello Sarah

Glad you live in UK Portsmouth. I'm near to St Helens. Also you said you will contact Macmillan and just wondering if you have. I was told today my X Ray is back on the left side where my top lung was removed been having pain and gurgling noises doctor last week give me antibiotics in case chest infection but gurgling still going on so the doctor calling me in surgery tomorrow at 11.30am bit nervous to what it might be but if I did have cancer in remaining left lung they would have me see doctor today I think. What's dates have you got up to now for Pet Scan And CT Scan. I'm here for you. If you don't mind me asking how old are you. I'm 46 and when I was on ward after the op I was the youngest person there also some cancer research people also wanted a bit from Cancer and asked if I didn't mind I signed away so the hospital have my DNA and a bit also of my DNA have gone to America. I feel quiet special really. Lol. Love to you. Xxx
