I very recently had the doctor inform me that I was producing high levels of prolactin and with my symptoms that are getting worse each year he suggested I go for a MRI to see how big the tumour is on my pituitary gland. It is causing lots of symptoms and has been making me ill for years. Symptoms were getting worse and worse and it was only until I said to doctors that I wanted to try for a baby did they listen to me and take action. Previous to my lack of cycles which were deteriorating more and more each year (longest one without 14 months) and causing so many other problems, the specialists just continued to just put me on the pill to 'get a period'. Since researching everything and getting a bit more confindence I took action and was persistent in getting help. 

Im currently being refered to a endocrinologist, the optitions to monitor my vision, more blood tests and scans. 

I would also love to understand a bit more about this topic and whats involved. Plus just come on here to chat to people as I'm feeling real low about it and my husband feels the same as you do. 

If all i can say here for the time being is your not alone in this and I'm around for chats and to update if anything further happens my end to pass on to your wife in regards to surgery/ treatment etc.
