Hello Johnt2021,
I am sorry to hear about your wife's diagnosis but it is reassuring that you have been told this is normally a benign tumour. I hope you won't mind but I will slightly edit the title of your post to include the words 'pituitary gland'. This will hopefully make it easier for others who have had a similar diagnosis to spot your thread and respond.
The pituitary tumours page on our website mentions that most pituitary tumours are indeed benign, grow slowly and tend not to spread. I hope that you find out more soon about your wife's tumour and about the treatment that is being offered to her. If you have any questions and would like to talk to one of our cancer nurses, don't hesitate to call them on this free number 0808 800 4040 - their line is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.
I hope that you'll hear from other members of the forum who have been diagnosed with a pituitary gland tumour and that they will be along shortly to share their story with you.
Best wishes,
Lucie, Cancer Chat Moderator
