Ibc

Hi, on Wednesday I was told that I have ibc, I kinda knew because we had done some research.

I had ultrasound scans,, mammograms and biopsies. The doctor explained to my husband and said that getting our grown up children around and telling them was important.

So I'm waiting for the biopsy results, I think it's more to find out if it's stage 3 or 4, then we can go and discuss a treatment plan.

Some people might think I'm a bit cold about the whole thing but I just knew and I think I had come to terms with it, does that sound odd?

Anyway sorry for rambling on, thanks for listening.

    It doesn't sound odd at all and you are definitely not cold about the whole thing - it just sounds like you had prepared yourself mentally and that you had come to terms with it as a result. I hope you won't have to wait too long for the biopsy results as I can imagine that at this stage you just want to know all the details and find out more about the treatment plan.

    Thank you so much for your support it means a lot. I know that using Dr Google isn't the best thing to do but it did help us learn what we could be facing, maybe that's why I'm calm.

    I have my appointment with the mdt to discuss a treatment plan, and also was cc'd in on the the letter to my GP confirming malignant biopsy results.

    I will keep you up to date and hope my experience can help others and can help me chat to other people with the same thing xx
