Diagnosed with Endometrial Hyperplasia today

Hi

I had my 2nd appt with Gynaecological Oncology today (biopsies were taken at my first) - I knew that the news wouldn't be great as you're never called back into hospital if all is well. It was kind of a relief to be told it's pre-cancerous BUT apparently one of the samples was right on the edge (I think the Dr meant it was almost cancerous?) So, I was offered a full hysterectomy including ovaries or a mirena coil. I said that I'd have a hysterectomy as I have a family history of cancer. The Dr looked really thrown and asked why I didn't want a coil. I said that given my Mum and her sister had both had hysterectomies due to cancer I'd rather just get it done. She went and got another Dr (?her senior - a surgeon I think, as his title is Mr on his card) who started telling me all the things that could go wrong in surgery. Which is helpful. I don't have a straightforward history and have had 5 abdominal surgeries (2 C-section and 3 keyhole). When he stopped going on at me I asked for information about the Mirena coil, how it works etc and no-one could find one The first Dr told me to search for the Bayer leaflet online and also to find the RCOG info leaflet to read. It was left that I would phone them to discuss the way forward. The pushy Dr told me not to 'hang around making a decision'. I'm now left worried, confused and bullied. Why offer me a hysterectomy if they're not going to do it???
