MRI Results

I have been diagnosed with Grade 1 cancer and have been for a n MRI scan a weeks ago. I have an appointment on Thursday to see the consultant. If MRI shows anything different would they have told me before Thursdays appointment. I'm going myself and want to prepare for the outcome as best as possible, feeling really anxious.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated x

when I had my mri scan I didn't hear anything until the actual appointment with the consultant,good luck x

Hi Eliza,
Sorry to hear this. The waiting is always the worst and takes far too long, but your nearly there now.
Please take someone with you if you can. Two sets of ears are better than one no matter what news you are given. Most hospitals have relaxed the Covid rule about being accompanied. Oncology waiting rooms can be the loneliest places in the world otherwise. Good luck for Thursday.

Hi Eliza,
As others have said the waiting is usually the worst bit. I heard nothing before my results appointment unfortunately. Again as others have said it can be useful to take someone else with you just to help with understanding everything.
