i just after some help and support please from some ladies who may be in a similar position to my mum

my mum had a hysterectomy about 3 years.  Grade 1 stage 2 and was given the all clear.  We thought it was the end of the matter but towards Christmas last year they found a recurrence of endometrial cancer in her pelvic lymph nodes and para ortic lymph lymph nodes.  She's just completed her last cycle of chemo and will have a scan later this month

Almost all the literature on google gives a very grim prognosis and I worry myself silly and start panicking.  Thankfully mum doesn't google so I don't think she's read any of it..

are there some success stories you lovely ladies can share with me?  Why is it so hard to treat?   It hasn't spread anywhere else... I would have thought the chemo would have killed off the nasty cells?  I just don't understand
