Ovarian Cancer and Bloating

Hi all,

A Gynecologist told me this week it's highly likely I have ovarian cancer - not had the biopsy yet but had the CT scan to confirm and check the rest of pelvis, abdomen and thorax. I've had the ultrasound which raised concerns and my CA125 is high.

Whilst all of this is going but I am yet to have a treatment plan in place, I'm really struggling with the bloating. It's so uncomfortable and with this heat and looking heavily pregnant it's making me incredibly anxious which is not like me at all.

is there any thing or anyway to help with the bloating? I haven't been eating much but I've noticed that doesn't make a difference. It gets worse throughout the day whatever I eat or drink or don't.

Can anyone offer advice?

Thank you :-)

  • Hello Butterflyjoy,

It might be a good idea to talk about the bloating you're experiencing with your doctor on your next appointment, they may be able to suggest something. It might also be useful to write down any concerns you have and take them with you to the appointment. This may help relieve the anxieties, but if you're finding it a bit overwhelming Anxiety UK have some helpful resources.

    Best wishes,
