Just diagnosed for bladder cancer

Hello

I had a cystocopy yestertday which has diagnosed bladder cancer. They have booked a TURBT for 9th of August. I understand that I will also have a CT scan & a biopsy of the muscle tissue to check for spread.

It was as part of a long treatment process since April for Kidney stones. I have had blood in my rinue & also have exprelled some grit every few day. I'm thinkning that if it wasn't for the grit, I would have been diagnosed a lot earlier I suppose. My GP has tried to hurry the process by sending me off for ultrasounds & xrays.

Any hints, tips of experiences woudl be welcome.

    Welcome to Cancer Chat. I'm sorry to hear of your situation. It's good to hear that things are hopefully now moving along fairly quickly.

    I'm sure this particular time will be tough due to the uncertainty and the waiting for further information. If you can, try to keep busy and focus on things you enjoy as much as possible to help keep your mind off things while you wait. Once you have all the information you will have a better idea of any next steps.

    I'm sure there will be others here who have been through or are going through something similar, so hopefully you'll receive further replies to your post soon. You can also browse or search the forum if you'd like to find any other relevant discussions on here.
