Mum diagnosed with chronic lymphocytic leukaemia

As the title says - mum was diagnosed in February of this year, after feeling unwell for a number of months which she simply put down to doing too much.

She's losing weight but she's hardly eating anything & at the moment not quite sure what is going to happen. But she's seeing drs & etc, at the moment.

Not quite sure why I'm writing this post but I guess it's to ask for support, comfort, because as much as I'm trying to be supportive I'm frightened. I've not read much about CMML purely because I don't want to frighten myself more.

  • Hi LilacQueen,

I'm sorry that your mum's health has taken a turn. This must be very difficult but I just wanted to let you know that we're thinking of you and sending our support your way.

Unfortunately I couldn't find any members on the forum at the moment with the same diagnosis but if you would like to connect with others who are on this journey it may be worth popping over to Blood Cancer UK and/or CLL Support.

Our team of cancer nurses are available on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m if you'd like to talk things through with them as well.

    Kind regards,
