Hi, has anyone on here suffered with mucositis following their radiotherapy?  My husband is nearly 5 weeks post chemo/radiotherapy for tonsil cancer, he has a Rig tube fitted and has his nutrition thru that but for the last few days he cannot even drink water as he says it burns his throat!  He's in a lot pain.  We saw the consultant 2 days ago and she said he had mucositis and that she could see that the radiotherapy was still present in his throat!  Can anyone advise how long this lasts or how to deal with it please, he is desperate to just have a drink and can't see an ending to the pain.
