Is a 30mm breast tumour particularly bad or dangerous? Does this mean it's well developed?
Is a 30mm breast tumour particularly bad or dangerous? Does this mean it's well developed?
Hi
i have just had a 30mm (3cm) lump removed from my left breast. I also had microcalcifications that took the area to be removed to 7cms.
From what I have learned from my consultant/breast care nurse - it's not the size that determines the grade of the cancer. It's the type of cancer it is found to be. If that makes sense? There are many different types of breast cancer. My nurse said over 300! Some are fast growing, some are not. Some are hormone positive, some are not. Plus many other different factors.
Once the type of cancer has been established a treatment plan will be decided.
Hope this helps. Sarah xx
Hi Sarah,
Ah, that's really interesting to know, thank you! Puts my mind at rest a little.
Best wishes,
Nicola xx
