Peritoneal Cancer at 37

Good morning,

My parter has been diagnosed with peritoneal cancer from the tubo ovarian, a hugw shock for us and still not coming yo terms with the news. Last 4 weeks have changed us forever. Anybody been through a similar cancer? Hipec surgery is what I'm reading is best course of action, what are peoples thoughts?

  • Hello Nauman

I'm sorry to hear about your wife's diagnosis. It's obviously an incredibly difficult time for you both and as you say, these past few weeks will have changed you both.

I've had a look through the forum and I can't see that we have anyone who has mentioned having this type of cancer. I'm a little unsure from your post if she's been told that this has originated from ovarian cancer. If that's the case then you may want to get in touch with Target Ovarian Cancer who may have members on their forum who have this diagnosis.

I can see that we've quite a few members however that have mentioned having HIPEC and you can read those posts by using the forum search function to look for HIPEC.

I'd also recommend giving our team of nruses a call. I'm sure they will be able to offer some advice, information, and support if you wanted to speak with them. They're available Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm on 0808 800 4040.

I hope that this helps. Keep in touch Nauman and let us know how you're both getting on.

    Best wishes,
