Stage 4 cancer

Hello,

my parter Jane was diagnosed yesterday with stage 4 metastasise cancer in her lung, kidney, liver lymph nodes and spine. She had a lug aspiration yesterday to determine the actual cancer so ver early days.

My question is can anything help with giving Jane time with family as this has come as a real shock. Can private treatment help?

it would be great if you could please help.

thanks

Michael

  • Horrible news Michael.
I expect you will receive much more information soon about the cancer, as it is such early days. Then decisions will be easier to make.

Wishing you all the best. Harry.

    Hi Michael,

A very warm welcome to our forum, although I'm so sorry to hear why you've joined. Once the type of cancer is identified, the doctors will decide whether treatment is a viable option or not. Sometimes it's not and sometimes it just buys a little extra time with family and friends, but with no great quality of life.

I may be wrong, but I doubt that there is anything that could be done privately that won't be done on the NHS. Write down a list of questions to take with you when she receives her rsults. It is all too easy to forget some important questions in the heat of the moment.

Do please keep in touch. We are always here for all of you.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine
