Hello

i have just been diagnosed for the second time with breast cancer. The first was 15 years ago and was ER positive. I had a mastectomy, chemo , RT and ten years of hormone treatment. This time it is HER positive. 5cm. Lymph look normal on ultrasound and was told no need to biopsy them.
just had CT scan and whole body bone scan and having MRI of breast next week.
Painful wait‍♀️
feel like I have to prepare myself for hearing more bad news of spread or worse. Lost all confidence in my body.
can anyone relate to this?

  • Hello Fairi

I'm sorry to hear that you've recently been diagnosed with breast cancer for the second time. I'm sure that it's been a difficult time going through the further investigations and I really hope that you don't have to wait too long for news.

I wanted to try and connect you with another member, [@Help66]‍ , who posted this week having also been diagnosed with breast cancer for the second time. You can read her post here. It might help you both to be able to chat with someone who is going through a similar experience.

I also wanted to suggest that you give our team of nurses a call. I'm sure they will be able to help with information, advice, and support ahead of your Consultant appointment. They're available Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm on 0808 800 4040.

Keep in touch Fairi and let us know how you get on at your appointment.

    Best wishes,
