Hi, I had this surgery 2 days ago and I feel like I've over exercises and pulled every muscle from my tummy to my chin and both my shoulders hurt. Is this normal? Thank you x

Hello Karli15
I hope that you're feeling a little more comfortable today. It's still very early days in your recovery and whilst it's important to keep on top of your exercises it's also important to not rush things. I'm unsure if you still have a drain in situ but this can also make things more uncomfortable.
Do keep on top of things with regular pain relief. That will help. If you're still concerned on Monday then give your Breast Care Nurse a call. If over the weekend you're worried then do contact NHS 111 for some advice.
Keep in touch Karli and let us know how you get on.
Best wishes,

Hi Jenn,
Thank you for your reply. I think I was worried that it was so painful but it's eased off considerably now and I feel a lot brighter. I have my appointment booked to see the oncologist for the first time in the 18th May and although I am really scared about the chemo I will be happier when I know how it's all going to work. We had so many plans to visit family etc. this summer after the lockdowns and would really like to be able to do some of that.
Thank you for your support xx
