Nothing they can do...dad has inoperable brain tumour

On March 8th my dad was admitted to hospital with a suspected stroke. It took about a month and a half for the doctors to determine it was an inoperable brain tumour and there was nothing they could do! I'm so angry at the system as it feels like they're just letting my dad die! They've not even tried a damned thing! He's only 57 and he's my hero. I'm not ready to say goodbye...

  • A warm welcome to our forum Seagcroft92,

I am so sorry to hear about your dad's diagnosis. How devastating that he was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour and that there is nothing they can do. I can understand why you are feeling so angry and powerless. Your dad is still very young. Try and make the most of every day with him, to spend time with him and make unforgettable memories. Even though it is upsetting that they cannot operate on his brain tumour, I am sure your dad is in expert hands and that they will do everything they can so he can stay with you  for as long as possible. So don't feel you have to say goodbye yet - hopefully the doctors will do everything they can to prolong their life.

You are not alone here as there are many on the forum who sadly find themselves in a similar situation and I hope that they will be along shortly to share their story with you.

We're thinking of you during this difficult time.

    Best wishes,
