Stage 1 Endometrial Cancer

Hi all,

I'm very new to this. My names Anna and I'm 30 and recently been diagnosed with stage 1 endometrial cancer. I have no children and terrified what this will mean for me. The gynaecologist is happy for me to try a hormone treatment in the form of a coil and have been told it's had a high success rate in reversing it at this stage. Has anyone else had any experience or success with this? Any help would be appreciated.

  • Hi Peachsister,

Im sorry to hear youve had this diagnosis. Unfortunately I cant offer any advice on the coil, but just wanted to let you know i had the same news last week.  Mine was following a clear d&c and then hysterectomy for heavy bleeding. I went in to surgery believing all was well, but the stage 1 endometrial cancer was discovered in pathology tests of the removed womb. Anyways, just wanted to wish you well, and let you know that my surgeon said im one of the lucky ones. He said that this is the best stage of cancer to have, as its been caught at its earliest. I going for scans tomorrow which i hope will be clear, and i wish you the very bestbwith your treatment.

  • Hi Carr62,

May I ask what scans did you have after the hysterectomy? I have been diagnosed with grade 2 stage 2 endometrial cancer, but I have not been given any scans.

    Many thanks!
