ive been for two ultrascans, a nuclear bone scan and just on friday a ct scan going to western general edinburgh on monday 26th to genetics clinic, am not ill in the slightiest, not tired ,eat well waiting on all trearment doctor did say am getting chemo

I am so glad to har that you still feel well, are not tired and are eating well. I hope that all goes well at the genetics clinic on Monday. Have you got a date for starting chemo yet and did they tell you when you'd hear the results of your CT scan?

got no test results and no idea when chemo treatment starts i still keep asking myself the question have they got the correct patient ?? i know they have but i dont feel sick or tired at all , ive always kept myself fit through sports and feel as good as when i was 18 crazy set of circumstances but it is what it is, away to finish off some electical work in bathroom

I am glad to hear that you still feel so fit and healthy. It is not unusual for people who feel like this to get a cancer diagnosis as a result of a routine mammogram or other unexpected scan, such as in your own circumstances - maybe a fortunate accident after all?

Hi I thought i was fit as well. Mid 50s, went to docs a year ago with a pea sized lum in breast. A year later, 6 months after nipple inverted GP eventually referred me. Had biopsy confirmed and surgery in 3 weeks. Doc says lymph nodes scanned clear, but they wont know til they open me up in the mastectomy....its a crazy world and i felt a real *** (pun) in the breast clinic as the only guy....! Even the receptionist couldn't find me on the list.....and then said oh didn't think to look on the breast clinic list !

Welcome to our forum. I just wanted to let you know that you are not alone in feeling a 'real ***' at the breast clinic. Many men say this, but rest assured that there are more men attending these clinics than you would imagine. You are certainly not alone and, male or female, this is an ordeal for all of us, but we are all here to support one another.

I have had a lumpectomy and then a double mastectomy, when I developed a second bout. I hope that all goes well with your surgery. You will find the care team all very caring and understanding.
