Welcome to our forum! That is unfortunate that you have been waiting for over two weeks but haven't been given a date. Perhaps you could try and ask them if you haven't done so already whether they could give you an estimate as to when this biopsy might take place? Even if they could just give you an approximate idea of what to expect, that would already be reassuring to you. It might be that they are not able to tell you more at this stage and all you have to do is wait knowing that she is on the waiting list though and that she will have this biopsy hopefully very soon. It's a shame too that you were told that going private would not be an option. Try maybe getting a second opinion on this just to  double check and to make sure you have been given accurate information on the possibility of going private. I hope that you will hear from other members of the forum to whom this has happened before and that they will share their experiences with you. I can understand why you are feeling that time is critical and you would like your mum to be seen as quickly as possible. I really hope she won't need to wait long now for this important second biopsy.
