Lung cancer

My mum has just been given her results 

lung cancer 

it's in her adrenal gland and there think it may of gone to her rib, 

this is all I know 

the consultant phoned her today , he seemed to think it would be treatable,

he said they are waiting on some biopsies to see what treatment is best for her and an oncologist apt, maybe be next week , he did says surgery would not be an option due to the adrenal gland 

if anyone has experience in this or any advice , as I am going to write lots of questions for when she goes to the oncologist, I would I be very greatful

    I'm very sorry to hear of what your mum and all of you are going through with this. Although it is good to hear the consultant seemed positive.

    Hopefully it won't be too long to wait to get all the results and before you can get a better idea of what's going on and the next steps involved.

    It's a great idea to write all your questions down and I'm sure that will be a big help.

    Hopefully you'll receive further replies soon with any advice / similar experience.

    Hi May I ask what your mums symptoms looked like?  I have had a cough for 3+ months and I'm having my adrenal glands scanned on Friday. Other symptoms sweating and palpatations.

    im Sorry it has taken so long to reply, I very rarely come on here,  I would post things and ask for advice and no one would get bk to me, just wondered how u was getting on , 

    my mum had no symptoms of lung cancer no cough no nothing,

    She my mum started treatment June 2nd chemo and immunotherapy,  last week was her 5th round of treatment and recent scans showed the cancer is shrinking,  my mum is handling it al so well, me on the other hand cry every day even. 6 months in ,, x
