Hello from one Lucie to another !
A warm welcome to our forum. There is some information on our website on the cone biopsy on this page and you can also read more details about this treatment on this page from Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust .
If you have questions about having a cone biopsy, don't hesitate to contact our Cancer Research UK information nurses on freephone 0808 800 4040. The lines are open from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
I hope that you will meet other members here who have had a cone biopsy for cervical cancer and that they will be along to share their story with you. I've had a little look around the forum for you and found that [@Fluffy74] also had a cone biopsy recently so she would be a great person for you to connect with. You can read her post here so feel free to reply to it if you wish.
I hope it all goes well for you. When's the cone biopsy? Hopefully you won't have to wait too long!
Best wishes,
Lucie, Cancer Chat Moderator
Hi Lucie, I had a cone biopsy a few weeks ago, together with a hystersocopy (camera into the womb). I was given a general anaesthetic for it in day surgery and it was all absolutley fine, the mildest of period like cramp just after for a few minutes. i bled for approximately two weeks after, bright red at first but no pain. Good luck with yours, let me know if you have any questions.
