I have recently been diagnosed with grade 3 invasive ductal cancer, lumph nodes clear, ER+, HER-2 negative.  Tumor was 4.5cm.  I had lumpectomy followed by two further surgeries for clear margins.  Margins now clear after undergoing therapeutic reduction due to being a H cup this was an option. 

My oncotype score came back as 20 (I have literally just turned 50).  I have spoken to oncologist about chemo and he has said that the benefit of chemo is only 1.5% so the side effects outweigh that benefit.  Has anyone else had a similar dilemma and what did you decide.  I thought I had made my decision about chemo but have read many other posts on here where many have had chemo but there is no mention of oncotype score. 

I will be having radiotherapy and taking tamoxifen for 5 year.  Just hope I make the right decision.
