Recent diagnosis

So just had a chat with my father (60s) who told me his delayed results have revealed cancer in his pancreas. He is having an MRI and CT scan tomorrow to see about the viability of surgery to remove. Have to say feels like I have been hit by a bus. Google is definitely not your friend at this stage. Not looking forward to what is to come.

    Hi Edwardderby,

A very warm welcome to our forum, although I'm sorry to hear why you've joined us. A cancer diagnosis  always comes as a terrible shock, for relatives as well as the person themself. Our advice is always to stay off Google, until you know what you are dealing with. Even then, it is better to stick to the more reputable sites.

I hope that your father's CT and MRI go well tomorrow and that surgery is still a viable option. Just be there for him and give him all the love and support that you can - this means so much. It will possibly take another 1-2 weeks to get the results of his scans.

Please keep in touch and let us know how the scans go. We are always here for both of you.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine
