  • Hi William, firstly am sorry you have had this awful diagnosis, it is very scary indeed when they tell you its cancer. I can only give you my recent experience of this, others may have thier own thoughts.
My husband was diagnosed with stage four oesophageal cancer in november, completely out of the blue. We were told it was inoperable, and had spread to his lung and lymph nodes. We were absolutely terrified and immediately thought 'this is it, game over'. But, a few months later, his chemotherapy is going well, he is looking and feeling much better, and you woudlnt actually even know he has anything wrong with him. We have also learned, that many people live with stage four cancer for years.
Please please dont give up, or believe everything you get on google, if I had believed that it would have meant my husband would already be dead! Have they said what treatment you might be able to have?
Sending you good luck, I hope that you find it supportive here, I lnow I have.
