Just been told i have grade 3 invasive lobular breast cancer

Hi ive just got back from my appointment and ive been told i have invasive lobular breast cancer.

Its grade 3, positive hormone receptor test is ER 7 and PR 8... im HER2 negative.

Ultrasound showed nodes clear but ive got to have a MRI to check.

The lump came up around July but as ive had a few lumps before i kept a eye on it and kept checking it and it didnt change at all until a couple of months ago when it suddenly grew really fast, went from below my nipple to above it in just 2 weeks! its a large lump, they think 2 places and about 8-10 cm.

I wondered if anyone else on here had the same as me?

After a bit of support and advice really. x

    Hi SaraBev,

I am so sory to hear that you've got this diagnosis and can only imagine how you feel tonight. There are a number of ladies on here with grade 3 lobular breast cancer and they are doing well. I hope that the nodes are still clear on MRI. Have you got a date for this yet?

I have had 2 bouts of breast cancer in the past 11 years - a different type to yours, but am still leading a busy life.

Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on with your MRI. We are always here for you.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx

I am delighted to heart that you now have an appointment for your MRI and, I am glad to hear that this is not too far away. I am not surprised to hear that you feel so anxious. A diagnosis like this is a lot to take on board.
