Hi there I got my results and I have stage 2 womb cancer, I need ct scan and echo of my heart as I had quadruple heart bypass 3 years ago. I have to have full hysterectomy, I am not worried as I knew something wasnt right xxx
Hiya, can’t remember if have updated on what’s been happening lately, so brachytherapy went well then ct scan for pelvis came out good, but found shadows lung are, so then had to have pet scan, after anxious 3 days was told nothing lit up so not cancer but shadow was over my aorta but not sure what it is. Going on 2 weeks now have mri appointment for spinal thoracic on Sunday, so nerves still there worried what will be, if nothing lit up on pet then what could it be?? Cos after googling this is lung scan. So still not out the woods yet

I’m fine thank u, my headspace much better think will worry for some time yet but aint as bad as beginning of year, think once lst scan out of way in March I think will lighten my worries further. Was hoping to hv had it in November as was 8 months past diagnosis especially as grade 3, but oncologist said couldn’t feel nothing on cuff so next appointment in March, but bk to working tiredness gone, high blood pressure even went after 20 years, fatty liver all healed, so hysterectomy had some bonus points lol
Aw that's good that you're not as stressed now. I got a scan one month after finishing treatment which was July 2020. I have had one internal examination (like yourself) and feedback was that the cuff felt as it should but no scans, even though I asked and asked. Oncologist says scans are "not really beneficial". At least you'll get one in March x
I had scan before brachytherapy base scan I think they called it, then had to hv pet scan when they found shadows, so thinking if anything was wrong they would hv found it. Oncologist never mentioned scan but MDT nurse said sure as was a year would get one, but if honest if dont ill pay for my own to be sure. Do u not think think cuff clear is good but how do they not know is going upwards if don’t scan. ♀️ Hope we both get one soon as sure will be good for us both. I’m really glad your ok and things are going well. We should stay in contact be nice to see us both stay healthy
Yep, having a clear cuff is good as onco says that's usually place where recurrence most likely to occur. At least with you having had all your previous scans , you have something to compare against when you get your scan in March x
Very glad that you are doing fine now. Reading your story from the beginning to now has helped me a lot to relieve my worries.
I was first said to have grade 1 endometrial cancer. No MRI was performed. After the operation to remove my uterus, ovaries n cervix, the doctor found it was actually grade 2 stage 2 with extension to the cervix. I was told last Friday and I am getting more and more worried that actually it is Stage 3C but not Stage 2, given that lymph nodes were not sampled or taken out for biospy.
Could you tell me more about how you were monitored during the radiotherapy treatment? I am going to start it after the new year but I am so worried that I should actually require chemo but not just radiotherapy.
Hiya, I know is hard when they push u up grades and stage, I went from 1a grade 1, then told grade 2, then on further tests grade 3, every week a wait and each week I fell apart, so totally understand how u must be feeling. They took no lympthnodes as thought was grade 1, my worry then became if grade 2 will u now take nodes and they said no as saw no signs of travel or swelling, but 8 months on this is still my worry. Have u had hysterectomy?? Have u had ur meeting with oncologist since if uve had the op ??
