Her2 positive IDC breast cancer

Jus a few weeks ago i was diagnosed with Invasive ducal carcinoma Her2 positive. Mammogram showed fibroadenoma and ultrasound small lesion , when i came for biopsy results i get diagnosis: breast cancer . I wish to find someone with same diagnosis to keep in touch and chat about it . X

  • Thanks Lyn, this one took me by surprise today I must admit.  So glad you got Omeprazole, this has really helped me this time round and I am on it daily now for the rest of chemo, but can up to twice a day when needed. I hope it works for you.

Sorry to hear your side effects have been so much worse, it's really *** isn't it.  But 2 down now, only 4 more to go.    Thinking of you and hoping things improve, Linds x

  • [@Anna71]‍ , Hi Zana, I hope you got on okay today having your Picc line fitted, I was thinking about you. Speak soon, Lyn. XX

  • [@yorkiegal]‍ good morning lovely, yes all done picc line insert. I spend good 4 hours in hospital, and now i will have new baby to look after in my arm. Need yo get use to it just at the moment right side still bothering me after mastectomy and left even more . I did covid test yesterday and my chemo its Friday as far as i know covid need to be maximum 72 h before procedure so i told oncologist , now i will need to travel again on Wednesday to do it . How are you yourself Lyn? I was reading your msg to Linds and smiling how you described your side effects... i know how hard must be for you and in same time your sence of humor still there. Amaizing! I will have 12 weeks of treatment and i guess three of us we will finish chemo all together in a same time. I wish you beautiful day , full of sun shine. Take care of yourself and keep in touch xxZ

  • [@Anna71]‍ Hi Z, GOOD MOOOOORNING!!! Feeling so much better, thankfully. So pleased your baby is in, cling film covering her in the bath and shower I suppose? I have ‘phone call with the Onco this evening to save me a visit to the hospital, which is thoughtful of him. It is 72 hours ahead for the covid test, I’m suprised they didn’t make the appointment for you - more trailing about for you later in the week Z - :-(

I am surprised you are having chemo weekly, is it a lower dose weekly rather than a higher dose 3 weekly?  I hope you tolerate it well and have very few side effects, the only thing I have left now after 14 days is tiredness, it’s constant, but I get up at 6am every morning for a walk down the sea front. Yes we will all finish within a couple of weeks of each other - how cool is that? And life will move on for us all. I am going to get out into the garden, a few plants to put in, and we’re having a large (5 metre) tree delivered today, I’m really excited about the garden plans, it will probably take a couple of years to get it as we want it. So, have a great day Z, it’s sunny here and warming up nicely! Will take a look this evening to see if you’ve got back. Sending a hug, Lyn. XX

  • [@linds16]‍ , Hi Linds, how are you feeling? Hoping the sickness has subsided for you, thinking about you. The Omeprazole is AMAZEBALLS, The Onco is phoning me this evening for a catch up, I’m going to request it until I finish chemo. Eating without heartburn - oh the joy! ......if only I could find something I fancy.......Lyn. XX

  • [@Anna71][@yorkiegal]‍

Good morning Lyn and Zana, hope you are both doing ok.   It's lovely and sunny here and I am in Day 6 and feeling pretty good.  My energy levels are high, the meds seem to be controlling the sickness and heartburn and it's a complete difference to Sunday. Though I have to admit, I am shedding more hair than the dog and have to wear a hat to stop the sunburn

Lyn, your reply made me smile, but you definitely seem to have it worse than me, I am so sorry.  The weird mouth taste is really odd isn't it?  I find it hard to describe, but I did get some amazingly ultra soft toothbrushes on Amazon that are helping with the tenderness in my mouth! I hope you are feeling a little better each day and that you have a relatively normal last week before the next one.  But we are 1/3 of the way there now!!

Zana, glad the picc line is in ok.  I have not needed that, but I hope it works for you.  I think it's a strange time waiting for it all to start, so thinking of you this week.

The sun is shining here, though I am working from home so have some calls to make and emails to do. Have a good day both of you, Linds x

  • [@yorkiegal][@linds16]‍ hello lovely ladies  i hope everyone its ok and dealing with chemo . Tomorrow my day to join world of chemo ... yes i will get Taxol weekly in small doses instead of once in three weeks, plus herceptin every three weeks. So i will be very busy with hospital appointments... I remember Lyn you mentioned about tree in your garden , how you managed to plant 5 m tree ? Seems you really enjoy your gardening skills, i wish to learn too how to deal with plants , i feel that plants don't really like me ... I ordered picc line cover from anabandana and iam already using it  so happy , they doing lovely stuff with little money . Lovely Linds counting how many sessions left , i guess you accountant? Iam smiling... i wish everyone to be happy and enjoy this beautiful sun and we will finish with it by midd Summer .. lots of love xxxZ

  • [@Anna71]‍  [@yorkiegal]‍

Good evening, how are you?   Lyn, I hope your symptare gone for this cycle and you are enjoying the beautiful weather in your garden.  Zana, best of luck for tomorrow, remember to take some things to read or do as it can be quite boring just sitting in hospital.

I've had a good week, walking every day and working.  I'm not an accountant, actuslly the opposite as I work in HR and it's been busy at work, whcih is good, it keeps me occupied,  The weather here (in the SW) has been really nice, it really brightens up the day.

    Take care both, Linds x

  • [@Anna71]‍ , Hi Z, Sorry I didn’t get email notification again. How did you get on with your 1st chemo? Hopefully you will get very few side effects with a lower dose, it seems brutal to have it every week - did you request that or was it your oncologists decision? They don’t offer it at my hospital. I had my phone appointment with the onco on thursday evening, he offered a lower chemo dose, but I said i’d stick with the current one. If I am unlucky and get a cancer recurrence in the future, I would be forever questioning my decision to lower the dose. My husband planted the 5 metre tree, at the moment it one long trunk about 20cm around with the greenery all at the top, it will grow from there. My husband is as strong as an ox, he can shift pretty much anything. You are right, I LOVE gardening and always have, we have only lived in our current house for 18 months, we cleared the garden at the start as everything was old and half dead, so lots of work still to do! Lots more sunshine this year hopefully, it is extraordinary weather for April, more like late May. Take care Z, Lyn. XX

[@linds16]‍ , Hi Linds, Yes, symptoms eased up considerably by Thursday, feeling good at the moment, bloods tomorrow morning will bring me back down to earth with a thud knowing what’s just around the corner. I’m pleased to hear you’re getting out walking, I’m out every morning by about 5.30am at the moment, then I’m in the garden watering and pottering for an hour, got some more fence painting planned today. You take care of yourself. Lyn. XX

  • [@yorkiegal]‍ good morning lovely , i had my first chemo yesterday plus Trastuzumab as injection, i managed to use cold cap but it wasn't easy for me in the beginning i thought i cant do it but remembered what you said that it will go better after 15 min. I spend long day as it was first day but next week it will be much shorter. Weekly chemo was given by oncologist team and i was actually happy with that , apart that every week i have to go twice to hospital but its near me so i will drive myself no problem. I did not slept last night at all , i went for a walk last night and shopping with my husband i was very hyperactive. This is my first chemo experience... today its beautiful sunny morning and looking forward to go out for a walk . I see you love to do gardening and this is amazing to spend time with doing something what you enjoy.have a lovely weekend full of sun x z
